A Spackle Flower!

I bet you're wondering about this title. Well, I belong to Prairie Stampers Club. We meet once a month and we get to learn something new. Last month we learned how to use spackle (wall spackle used in construction). Start with watercolor paper and get it wet by dipping it in water. Next apply spackle, not too thick or too thin and do not make it completely smooth. Let air dry for about 20-25 minutes and then use a deep etched stamp and press it into the spackle and then lift directly up. Let image dry for 24-48 hours and then paint. I used Twinkling H2O's to give it a little shimmer. It sure didn't look like much in the beginning but it made a beautiful card. This will be going to Afghanistan for the troops along with others from Prairie Stampers Club.
Stamp: Stamp unknown, this image was already done prior as we did not have time to let spackle dry in order to complete a card.
Paper: Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery, Elegant Eggplant, Whisper White
Ink: Lavender Lace
Paint: Twinkling H2O's
Accessories: Paint brushes, Large Oval and Scallop Oval punches, Certainly Celery twill ribbon, and dimensionals.

"Manhattan Flower Mother's Day"

This has got to be one of the easiest cards I have ever made. The textured impressions die from Stampin' Up! "Manhattan Flower" is gorgeous! I used Pink Pirouette cardstock (4 1/4 x 5 1/2) and ran it through the Bigshot and then trimmed around the flowers. Traced around parts of the flower with 2-Way Glue and then added Dazzling Diamonds Glitter. This looks so much better in real life. Click on photo to make it larger and then you can see the sparkle!
Stamps: All Holidays
Ink: Regal Rose
Paper: Pink Pirouette and Very Vanilla
Accessories: Corner Rounder, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Manhattan Flower Die, Big Shot, 2-Way Glue, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter
