Happy Birthday Cupcake!

Well, I finally finished up 200 invitations for a couple who will be renewing their vows on their anniversary.  Now maybe I can get back to creating!  Two challenges, a sketch from
Mojo Monday and a Color Challenge from The Paper Players.
I'm not quite sure if I like the color combo, but at least it gets me to try different colors together.
The ribbon is actually Very Vanilla Seam Binding, just dyed it using my ink pad and some water to lighten it and the Bakers Twine was inked in Midnight Muse.  All in all, I like how it turned out! It felt so good to make something different!

Thanks for stopping by :-)

Razzleberry Just Because

Doing some dry embossing with my Simply Scored Scoring Tool and Diagonal Plate and since I had some buttons from the Sycamore Street Designer Buttons PackFor every $50 you spend, you’ll get a FREE Sale-A-Bration product!

I chose Rich Razzleberry as my main color.  Stamped "Just because" in the bottom right then turned it over and scored 1 1/2" above the sentiment twice and then one in the middle of the two score lines.  Added my diagonal plate and continued scoring to make a diamond pattern and then adhered to Rich Razzleberry.

The flower was stamped twice, once in Rich Razzleberry and then another in Daffodil Delight.  I cut out the center of the Daffodil Delight and adhered with a glue dot.  I used the Rich Razzleberry Marker to make lines on the petals and darken the center a bit for some depth.
The leaves are from the Stippled Blossoms stamp set, Certainly Celery as the base and Gumball Green on top.  Added a Basic Rhinestone in the swirl of the sentiment.

Bloomin' Vintage Thank You

Trying out the new stamp sets from Sale-A-Bration
(For every $50 you spend, you’ll get a FREE Sale-A-Bration product!)
plus some colors that I have never put together before!  I was trying out the different shades of Stampin' Up! Blues but it did not pop.  Tried Tempting Turquoise and that's what I was looking for!  I placed a 1 1/2" strip of paper across the Whisper White and sponged on some Pool Party then stamped my flowers and leaves.  Added a button with some ribbon and stamped the butterflies in Island Indigo and put Dazzling Details on them.  Also added Dazzling Details to the centers of the flowers!

Springtime Thank You

I know it's only January but I am ready for Spring and some nice bright colors!
I saw this sketch over at Retro Sketches and loved it.  Did not get my card posted in time but that's okay, I'm always looking for new sketches to try.  I stamped the background using the Flowering Flourishes stamp set using Lucky Limeade stamped off once.  Stamped the Sentiment in Black Stazon directly onto the Designer Series Paper and layered onto another piece and adhered to card.  Stamped and cut 3 flowers added brads and popped them up for some dimension.  Embossed a scrap of Pool Party card stock with the Fancy Fan folder and then punched out my butterflies.  Added some Pool Party Bakers Twine to them for some antennas and adhered them with Glue Dots.
