Thank You Cards Reverse Masking Techinque

I made these as a Christmas gift for my Hair Stylist. She likes to send Thank you cards to all her new clients. I apologize for the poor photo quality, I was finding it quite difficult to photograph
the whisper white paper without washing out the image. I got my inspirations for this card from
Dawn Griffith . I wanted something easy and flat for mailing. I made eight cards two each of Pink Pirouette, Barely Banana, Pale Plum, & Bashful Blue.
Stamps: Essence of Love (retired) & Flight of the Butterfly.
Paper: Whisper White
Ink: Choc. Chip, Pink Pirouette, Barely Banana, Pale Plum, Bashful Blue
Accessories: Scallop Edge Punch, 2-Way Glue, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter

Gift Card Holder

I needed a quick and easy gift card holder and this is what I came up with. Very Easy. I used a 4" x 8" piece of Ski Slope DSP and Scored it at 3" & 7 ". Used a Snowflake Scallop edge punch on top flap and place a piece of Whisper White behind it. Made a band with Whisper White, it just slides off the holder. The sentiment was stamped with Versamark first then into Baja Breeze onto Whisper White and covered with Irridescent Ice embossing powder.

Stamps: Curly Label Punch Bundle
Ink: Versamark & Baja Breeze
Paper: Whisper White & Ski Slope DSP
Accessories: Curly Label Punch & Dimensionals

Thanks Mom (((hugs)))!
If you're wondering, I got the Crafty Gene from my Mom.

Snow Man Christmas Card

First, I would like to thank Dawn Griffith as I cased her card!
Go check out her site, she's awesome. Thanks Dawn :-)
If you check out the close up of his face, you can see a little more detail. I used the white gel pen on top and on the brim of his hat to make it look like snow and used 2-way glue and dazzling diamonds for a little sparkle. The band on his hat is Baja Breeze, I used a blender pen. To give the snowman a little depth I did an outline of Bashful Blue. I used a Q-Tip in Pink Pirouette and lightly dabbed it on his cheek. This is a very easy card to make and flat for mailing!
Stamps: Punch Pals, Snow Swirled, Heard from the Heart
Ink: Baja Breeze, Riding Hood Red, Black Stazon, Pink Pirouette
Markers: Green Galore, Real Red, Black, Bashful Blue, Only Orange

Wedding Gift Bag

I just wanted to give you a closer look at the bag. See previous post for recipe. Thanks :-)

Wedding Card & Gift Bag

Hello Everyone, I had a wedding to go to this weekend so I made a gift bag and matching card!
I used the Simply Scrappin' Kit - Love Stories on the bag and the card. The Gift Bag is from Stampin' Up! also. I used the Certainly Celery cardstock from the kit and the DSP. Used the scallop edge provided in the Kit. The center of my ribbon is a Build-a-Brad. The card has DSP and cut outs from the kit. This was fun to make and I love the Simply Scrappin' Kits, they're not just for scrapbooking!

Supplies: Together Forever Stamp Set, Simply Scrappin kit - Love Stories. Additional cardstock: Whisper White and Pink Pirouette.
Ink: Choc. Chip & Certainly Celery
Accessories: 1/4" Pretty in Pink grosgrain ribbon, 5/8" Regal Rose grosgrain ribbon, 3/8" Mellow Moss Taffeta ribbon. 1 3/8" Circle Punch, 3/4" Circle punch, Dimensionals, Build-A-Brad, Gift Bag, Scallop Edge Punch, Austrian Crystal (center of Flower on card), Sticky Strip & Glue Dots.

Quit Pattern Christmas Card

This card was also made last year for the Nurse Practioner that I work for who is a quilter. The Glitter cardstock was given to me by my good friend Laurie O'Brien. I thought it would be perfect for this card. The flower in the center of the card is easy, first I stamped Versamark onto Real Red cardstock and embossed with gold embossing powder. the next step I used Crystal Effects on the petals I applied it heavy to give it some dimension. The bottom red petals are just embossed in gold. The leaves were made with the 5 petal punch. First I used Versamark on Wild Wasabi and embossed in clear. Then punched it out. Flower was then layered with dimensionals.

Supplies: Wild Wasabi, Real Red, Summer Sun, Whisper White cardstock. Glitter cardstock unknown. Ink: Versamark.
Stamp sets: Season of Joy and **Tags on Board (**Retired)
Accessories: Heat tool, embossing buddy, gold & clear embossing powder, Dimensionals, Small Oval punch, Ticket Corner punch, 5 Petal Flower punch, stickers for center of flower.

Turkey Time #2

I wanted to give this Turkey a little more personality, so I put some googley eyes on him. He looks so much better this way. I apologize for the lack of posting, I have had an appointment every night this week. Sometimes life just gets in the way of stamping :-(
See previous post for supply list. Thanks :-)

Tab Punch Pumpkin

I saw this on Splitcoast and just had to give it a try. Very Easy. I have searched Splitcoast but I can't find the photo to send you to the link, Sorry :-( If I come across it I will post it for everyone. I punched 16 tabs and folded them in half and then began to stick them together with Snail Adhesive. I used a brown & green pipe cleaner. When it was time to put the pipe cleaners in the center, I first put a strip of sticky strip on the inside spine of tabs and then I used extra sticky strip to put the last tab together for extra support.

Supplies: Pumpkin Pie Cardstock, Tab Punch, Snail Adhesive, Sticky Strip, & Pipe Cleaners.

Turkey Feather Folding

1. Count off 5 scallops and fold. (made a line so you could see) scoring this line is helpful.
2. Fold in half to make a center line. I scored this also.
3. Fold bottom left in towards center line.
4. Fold bottom right in towards center and behold a Turkey Feather!

Hope this helps!

Turkey Time

This is a fun Turkey to make and very easy. Not much stamping here, he is made with punches! I thought I would give him a little extra flair by using the Autumn Vine DSP.
Turkey feathers: Scallop Circle Punch, Count five scallops and fold that portion of the circle down. Turn the circle over and fold in half to form crease in the middle for reference then unfold. Fold flat edge down from each side so folded edges line up with the middle crease.
1-3/8" Circle for the body, 3/4" Circle for his head, two 1/4" circles for buttons, Double Circle Punch for the eyes, 3/4" Square trimmed down for the hat, Boho Blossoms for his feet, petal from one of the flowers for his beak. I added some half circle scallops behind the DSP feathers to make him look a little fuller.

Supplies: Stamps: Holidays & Wishes. Cardstock: Really Rust, More Mustard, Pumpkin Pie, Real Red, Basic Black, Very Vanilla, & Autumn Vine DSP. Ink: Really Rust. Accessories: Scallop Circle Punch, 1-3/8" Circle Punch, 3/4" Circle Punch, 3/4" Square Punch, Double Circle Punch, 1/4" Circle Punch, & Boho Blossoms Punch. Choc. Chip Taffeta Ribbon.

Another Thanksgiving Card

I really love this set and the Pumpkin is my favorite. So, I decided to add the pumpkin using the masking technique. On watercolor paper I stamped the corn/jar with Brown Stazon. Stamped same image on a post it note at the top of note where it's sticky on the other side. This will help hold it in place when it's time to stamp the pumpkin. Trim the post it note to match and stick to watercolor paper and then stamp Pumpkin in brown stazon. Cut out unwanted background and watercolored with ink pads. The edge of the So Saffron was done by using the Scallop Edge Punch. Just flip over the punch so you can see the corner and align then punch and you get an interesting corner. Splatter in the background was done with the color spritzer with Really Rust Marker. To get the curly swirls from the pumpkin, used Choc. Chip marker on swirls only and lined it up with the stamp-a-ma-jig. (I LOVE MY STAMP-A-MA-JIG)

Supplies: Choc. Chip, Really Rust, Sage Shadow, So Saffron cardstock. Watercolor paper. Autumn Vine DSP.
Ink: Really Rust, Pumpkin Pie, Summer Sun, Choc. Chip, Close to Cocoa, More Mustard, Sage Shadow, Brown Stazon.
Accessories: Big Shot, Scallop Rectangle Die, Scallop Edge Punch, Corner Rounder, Sponge, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Color Spritzer Tool, Choc. Chip & Really Rust markers.

Baby Shower Card

Our good friends Darren and Angie are expecting their first child (It's a Boy!) 12-02-08. Going to the Baby Shower tomorrow. I like making the Onsie, it's just too cute and easy to make. Start with an 8 1/2 x 11 piece of card stock. Card size will be 4 1/4 x 11 and score at 5 1/2". Using 1 3/8 circle punch at top of score center punch and make the neckline. I go half way in on the punch. Next I cut out the legs with the circle punch. Neckline and leg trim made using the coluzzle. If making for a girl, the scallop punch makes a frilly neckline & leg trim. Embossing folder for some texture and a sentiment. To complete the look some eyelets to look like snaps.

Supplies: Whisper White & Bashful Blue cardstock. Bashful Blue Classic Ink. Punches Three Hostess Stamp Set. Bashful Blue Eylets, Crop-a-dile, Stampin' Dimensionals, Coluzzle, 1 3/8 Circle Punch, Big Shot, Embossing folder "dots", Wide Oval Punch.

Parisian Summer Birthday

October is Birthday month! My Niece, Sister, Mother & Myself. This will be for my Mom. This is a very easy card to make. The panels are Pink Pirouette (2), & Bravo Burgandy. Next layer is Sahara Sand, then the ever so lovely Parisian Summer DSP. The "Happy" is snailed directly to the paper. The "Birthday" is popped up on a dimensional along with the flowers. Finishing touch is the ribbon. It is hard to see in the photo but I put Dazzling Diamonds on the flowers for a little extra bling :-)

Stamps: Priceless & Happy Everything. Cardstock: Whisper White, So Saffron, Pink Pirouette, Sahara Sand, Bravo Burgandy. Parisian Summer DSP. Ink: Bravo Burgandy, Pretty in Pink, & So Saffron. Winter Post with some sparkle!

Hi everyone, I thought of this card at work earlier today and could not wait to get home and get it together. I love sparkle so I thought I would add some iridescent ice for them to skate on. It's hard to see in the photo but there are snowflakes in the sky. Used the snow stamp from Punch Pals stamp set. I incorporated all the colors from the Holiday Treasures DSP, love this paper. I made a background for my sentiment by cutting a 1.5 x 1.5 square and rounding the corners. This card looks so much better in person.

Supplies: Winter Post, Punches Three, & Punch Pals stamp sets. Watercolor paper, Baja Breeze, Choc. Chip, Old Olive, Whisper White cardstock. Holiday Treasures DSP. Winter Post Christmas Card

I thought the Reindeer in this set was just too cute and I had to find a way to incorporate him into a card. I used the Top Note Die with Riding Hood Red cardstock then I cut another one in Holiday Treasures DSP and trimmed around the edge so I could get a red border. I did use the Stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the Reindeer on the sentiment. The edges were sponged with Choc. Chip and Riding Hood Red ink. Snowflakes done in Whisper White Craft ink with stamp from the Punch Pals set.

Stamp Sets: Winter Post, Punch Pals, & Heard from the Heart. Supplies: Sahara Sand, Riding Hood Red, Whisper White Cardstock. Holiday Treasures DSP. Whisper White Craft ink, Choc.
